FORT LAUDERDALE – SCORE Broward, (Broward.SCORE.org) will present the Women’s Business Conference and Expo: Women Winning in Business, its inaugural conference for women business owners, executives and entrepreneurs on Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Urban League Community Empowerment Center, 560 N.W. 27th Avenue, in Fort Lauderdale.
Co-presented by Comerica Bank, the SCORE Broward conference will feature business workshops and speakers offering expert advice on all aspect of starting and running a business, as well as an array of finance, health and lifestyle topics.
“Our goal is to provide professional women with empowering information that will help them grow their businesses and careers,” said Victoria Cooney, co-chair of the conference and a SCORE Broward mentor and presenter.
The conference kicks off with a keynote address by Delia Passi, CEO of the WomenCertified, Inc, founder of the Women’s Choice Award ( www.womenschoiceaward.com ), and former publisher of Working Woman magazine. A diverse lineup of conference speakers will include some of Broward’s most successful businesswomen and company executives.
SCORE Broward’s Women’s Business Conference and Expo will also feature an exhibition area with displays by companies and business groups like the U.S. Small Business Administration offering services and products useful to business owners.
“We have developed this conference because there haven’t been enough business and motivational events specifically designed for women in South Florida,” said Russell Thompson, chairman of SCORE Broward. “Our mission is to provide truly relevant advice that will enable women to take their businesses and careers to the next level.”
The advance registration fee for the Women’s Business Conference and Expo is $50 or $75 at the door.

All attendees will receive a free tote bag and can register for free door prizes, including two round-trip tickets on Southwest Airlines to any of their destinations in the United States.
